Q & A
Where did you grow up?
I grew up along the East Coast living the suburbs of New Jersey. I also went to college in PA and lived in NC mostly recently. I feel that everywhere I’ve lived has helped shape who I am. I’m excited to see what my West Coast experiences will teach me.
What is your design philosophy?
I believe that a well-designed home is not just a beautiful space, but it is rooted in function that creates nostalgia and serves as a backdrop for your most special memories.
How did you get your start in design?
I have always been fascinated in interior design and always gravitated towards creative hobbies. I spent the early years of my career designing stores for luxury retail brands throughout New York and New Jersey before setting off for Raleigh, NC in search of warmer weather. I spent five years in Raleigh designing corporate office interiors, specializing in elements of Environmental Graphic Design to create fully branded experiences.
How do you spend your time when not working?
Even after work I still find myself designing, I love perusing local antique shops for my next up-cycled furniture project. Being new to the area, I enjoy trying new restaurants or making day trips around the Bay Area. My new favorite spot is Half Moon Bay where my husband and I take our Aussie pup to splash around in the ocean.
Favorite quote, book or movie?
I love a good classic horror movie, Hitchcock’s The Birds is one of my all-time favorites.
