In choosing finishes for their lobby and sanctuary renovation, the SDS team faced the particular challenge of sourcing uncomplicated, durable finishes to support visiting parishioners. Atlas commercial printed carpet throughout the space provides subtle detail. While a stacked limestone facade at the alter adds a focal point of texture without distracting from the true meaning of the space. All of the pieces came together with one-of-a-kind copper decorative panels and custom chandeliers to add personal touches to a large, lofty space and reflect the congregation’s diversity in people, worship styles, and theological viewpoints.
The Sunnyvale Seventh-Day Adventist Church opens its doors to all followers seeking God—assembling a diverse community of believers. The church approached SDS to develop a simple, yet modern aesthetic to welcome its broad, progressive Silicon Valley membership.
