Where did you grow up?
I was born and grew up in Norway and I also lived in Hong Kong, Spain, and Malaysia as a child.
What is your design philosophy?
To create sophisticated spaces which are calming to the senses and as functionally well thought through as they are visually pleasing and timeless in nature.
How did you get your start in design?
My mother is an avid antique collector and her interest in design inspired my love for beautiful environments. I got started in interior design when living in South East Asia. My first job was at the award winning GDP Architects in Kuala Lumpur and I spent the next 12 years working in Asia building the foundation for my design career.
How do you spend your time when not working?
I love nature and walking my dog to the Presidio in San Francisco or the beautiful nature of Marin County. I practice yoga daily, feel inspired by music and travel. My favorite destination is Sweden where my family lives.
